Gopuff Driver app connectivity issues

In order to connect you with our platform, Gopuff relies on a GPS signal from your Gopuff Driver app. If you’re experiencing trouble connecting the app, try these troubleshooting tips:


Make sure your have the following permissions enabled for the Gopuff Driver app:

  • Location Services → Always On

    • How to do it: Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Gopuff Driver → Always

  • Motion & Fitness → On

    • How to do it: Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → Turn On for Gopuff Driver

  • Background App Refresh → On

    • How to do it: Settings → General → Background App Refresh

  • Cellular Data → On

    • How to do it: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data

Automatically connecting to nearby public Wi-Fi networks can lead to unintended loss of network connectivity. 

Ensuring you have an accurate device clock can help with connectivity issues. You can do this under Settings → General → Date & Time → Set Automatically

Ensure that Airplane mode is turned off. When Airplane mode is turned on, it disables several hardware functions on your phone, including cellular connectivity, which interrupts communication with cell towers.

This may also interfere with GPS reception, inadvertently disconnecting you from the Gopuff Driver app.

For best results, we recommend avoiding Low Power Mode while delivering. Keeping Low Power Mode on can lead to connectivity issues when the Gopuff Driver app is running in the background. 

If none of the above suggestions work:

  • Go offline and then back online again

  • Log out of the app and log back in again

  • Delete the app, reinstall it, and check all permissions again

    • How to do it: Settings → Apps & Notifications → Gopuff Driver → Permissions → Location → Allow all the time

  • Location High Accuracy Mode → On (if available on your device)

    • How to do it: Settings → Security & → Location Mode → High Accuracy

  • Background App Refresh → On

    • How to do it: Settings → Connections → Data Usage → Mobile Data Usage → Gopuff Driver → Allow background data usage

  • Cellular Data → On

    • How to do it: Settings → Network & Internet → Internet → Settings → Turn on Mobile Data

Certain pages are not updating

If you notice that certain data in the driver app is not updating as expected, you can try refreshing the page.

  1. On the Home page, pull down to refresh.

  2. On the trips page, pull up to refresh.
