How does the background check work?

All potential delivery partners are required to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Criminal background check. You will need to sign a consent form before we run the background check. The consent form will be sent to your email address. 

For your safety as well as our customers’ safety, we run two different background checks, a Motor Vehicle Report and a Criminal Background Check. Background checks are processed through a third-party consumer reporting agency, Checkr.

Please keep in mind that processing your background check usually takes 1-3 days, but may take longer depending on the state. 

Issues completing the background check consent form

If you are experiencing issues completing your Background Check consent form, please try the following troubleshooting options:

  • Make sure you are entering your name exactly as it appears on your application - the form is also case sensitive.

  • Check to see if there are any unnecessary spaces at the end of each name e.g John(Space) Doe(Space).

  • Try using a computer or another device.

  • Clear your cache & cookies.

  • Use your browser's incognito mode to try and sign.

Who runs my background check?

Background checks are generally processed through a third-party consumer reporting agency, Checkr. If you believe any of the information contained within the background check is inaccurate or want to provide additional context, please visit Checkr’s Help Center.

Checking the status of my background check

We encourage you to check the status of your background check and look out for any emails from Checkr. You can monitor the status of your background check through the Checkr Candidate Portal by submitting the phone number, email, social security number, and date of birth you used for your background check.
